Kadembas Banquet Hall

Van, Turkiye

(Under Construction)

Kadembas Banquet Hall is situated in the historical Edremit Gardens of the Urartian Kingdom, and enjoys unrivalled views across Van Lake, Turkey. The architecture of the hall seeks to sensitively create a space for celebration and occasion within this rare natural setting.

The spatial composition of the hall is designed with consideration of event procession and operations. Both the lobby and back of house areas are set apart from the main hall and articulated as their own distinct volumes – connected yet separate, allowing the main hall to provide visitors with an unrestricted panorama of the landscape and expansive views across Van Lake from a sheltered elevated terrace.

The bespoke use of steel structure and expansive glass elements blur the boundaries between outside and inside while enabling the generous lobby and voluminous hall to integrate with the immediate topography of the historical Edremit Gardens.
